The focus of the Travel-Network and its local experts lies on some countries that are not on everybody's travel itinerary: Brunei Darussalam, Mongolia, Namibia and Sierra Leone. You will find a brief overview to all countries in the top menu, while for Namibia, Mongolia and Sierra Leone we are operating own portals (however, at the moment only in German). Sierra Leone The small West-African Republic of Sierra Leone is recovering for some years now, after a ten year brutal civil war. Today, Sierra Leone is opening up more and more and puts itself back on the tourist map. Known as the "Caribbean of West Africa" it offers kilometres of uninhabited, fine sandy beaches, surrounded by tropical rainforest hills. The traveller will discover pure nature and gets to know the "true" Africa. More on our Sierra Leone-Portal at www.travel-SIERRALEONE.sl Namibia Namibia, the Diamond of Africa is a fascinating country in the very south-west of the continent. Namibia can easily compete with its big neighbour South Africa, offering the "World in One Country ". Since the end of the Apartheid Namibia is a booming tourist destination and is high up in the destination rankings in Africa for tourists from the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy and France. Not without reasons Namibia was voted by well-known Condé Nast Traveller (2003) as the No. 18 top tourist destination in the world. More information on our Namibia-Portal at www.travel-NAMIBIA.com Mongolia Mongolia is home to Chinggis Khan, the greatest emperor ever. Till today most of the Mongolians are living as nomads, roaming the steppes, deserts and mountain regions of this vast wide land. As a tourist destination Mongolia is growing more and more every year... not only with adventure travellers, but also for "common tourists". Similar to Namibia, Mongolia is also know as the "Country of the Wide Open Spaces". More information on our Mongolia-Portal at www.travel-MONGOLIA.de Brunei Darussalam Brunei is a small Sultanate on the east Asian island of Borneo. It is well know for its Sultan living in the largest palace in the world and being the 4th richest monarch on the planet. Brunei combines modernism with Muslim traditions and offers the tourists everything from culture, nature towards entertainment and sports. Brunei is a popular stop-over destination on the way to Australia and New Zealand, however, it has much more to offer.
